About

Lothar Bielke

Much of my work starts with a simple question: What do you want or need to be happening — and what is actually happening instead?

The distance between the two is where the work begins.

What I do

I work 1:1 with senior leaders and founders who carry real responsibility for decisions, people, and results. They usually come because something important is not happening as it should — despite experience, knowledge, and serious effort.

Sometimes something genuinely needs to be developed. Sometimes the issue is clarity or direction. Sometimes a person knows what needs to happen but does not translate that consistently into action. And sometimes capabilities that are normally available become harder to access under pressure, uncertainty, conflict, or sustained load.

The gap is not always obvious from the outside. The organization keeps moving. Meetings happen. Decisions are made. Results may even remain good. But something important is taking more effort than it should, repeatedly getting postponed, or not moving at all. Over time, the distance between what should be happening and what is actually happening becomes increasingly consequential.

My work is structured, confidential, and grounded in the situation in front of us. The aim is not performance at any cost, but helping more of what could be possible become real — while staying clear, aligned, and effective under real conditions.

Background

Before working independently, I spent twelve years in corporate roles across consumer goods and beverages, including positions with Kraft Jacobs Suchard, Nestlé Switzerland, and companies within the Carlsberg Group. My experience ranged from operational and commercial roles to senior marketing and general management responsibilities.

Since 2009, I have worked independently across coaching, leadership, and performance-related work, alongside entrepreneurial and strategic projects.

That combination matters to how I work today. I know organizational life from inside operating and leadership roles, but I have also spent years looking at the same fundamental question from another perspective: what allows people to turn more of what could be possible into what actually becomes real?

Education & training

lic. oec. HSG — University of St. Gallen CEMS MIM — Master in International Management CAS Coaching & Org Development — FHNW MBSR — UMass Medical School

The combination of analytical training, organizational development, coaching, and evidence-based mind-body work informs how I look at performance: not as a single skill or trait, but as the interaction between capability, clarity, behavior, conditions, and the ability to remain effective under pressure.

How I work

My coaching work is 1:1, conducted via Zoom, and entirely confidential. Based in Rochester, Minnesota, I work remotely with clients across the US and Europe.
